Final Stats

RALEIGH, N.C. - Fayetteville State (14-7 overall, 11-4 CIAA, 7-2 Division) upped its winning streak to four matches in a row with a 25-19, 25-10, 25-21 sweep of Shaw University (2-23, 0-16, 0-10) in Raleigh on Monday night.

Outside hitters Shavon Shaw (sophomore - Bethel, N.C.) and Samira Luis (freshman- Willemstad, Curacao) led the way offensively for the Lady Broncos with eight kills apiece. They were each proficient with their attack opportunities, as well. Shaw converted eight of her 21 total attacks, while Luis converted eight of 17. Senior middle hitter Joylene Thompson (Spanish Town, JA) tallied six kills and a .231 hitting percentage.

Senior libero JaMisha Jordan, a Fayetteville native, led her hometown team with 16 digs.

Fayetteville State hosts Johnson C. Smith in its season finale on Wednesday. The Lady Broncos will honor six seniors.
