March 28, 2007 Fayetteville State University sophomore, Ines Nieves has been selected as the CIAA Women's Player of the Week, announced by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association March 27, 2007. A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a Pine Forest Senior High graduate; Nieves is undefeated at the No.1 singles position and is currently riding a 16-match winning steak. Nieves is also 12-4 in doubles play at the No. 1 position. The psychology major was the CIAA Rookie of the Year last season.
