FSU Broncos Drop Senior Day Match to Virginia Union, 7-2

Final Stats

Fayetteville, N.C. – Fayetteville State scheduled a doubleheader day before packing its bags for the CIAA Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament in Bowie, Maryland. FSU hosted divisional rival Livingstone for its “Ball in Pink” match and Virginia Union for its Senior Day Match.

Prior to the start of the match against the Panthers, Head Coach Erika Harris honored her only senior Asia Potts. Potts is currently in her second season with the Broncos after transferring from Denmark Tech. She is a native of Rock Hill, S.C. and pursuing a degree in Biology.

Fayetteville State was not able to celebrate a victory in honor of its senior as the Broncos yielded a 7-2 score in favor of Virginia Union.

Brittany Doss defeated Logan Reid 8-3 at No. 3 Singles and Zyaja Mattocks won the No. 4 singles 9-7.
