Final Stats
Fayetteville, NC - The Lady Broncos have more to cheer about this week after an 8-1 and 9-0 sweep of St. Paul's College on the tennis courts. After a tough 0-10 start on the season, Fayetteville State has its first back-to-back wins. FSU defeated Virginia Union this past weekend, 9-0, to break the skid. Senior Ines Nieves improved to 9-5 overall at the #1 position by winning both of her singles 8-0. Nieves teamed up with Kristan Tapassi in doubles action for an 8-2 and 8-1 victory. Volleyball standout Chekimbrell Jefferson reached the 500 mark in overall singles play (7-7) with her pair of wins today. Jefferson defeated Peggy Parks 8-1 and 8-0.
