Junior L'Oreal Price (Raleigh, NC) and sophomore Richard Medlin (Raleigh, NC) were honored as the female and male Student-Athletes of the Year. Freshman Kristen Britt (Delco, NC) and Paul Murphy (Charlotte, NC) were this year's recipients of the Meritous Award. [+] 4/4/09 - Women's Tennis LADY BRONCOS NETS CHOWAN 6-3Fayetteville State has won its fourth game of the season and its third one in a row when the Lady Broncos defeated Chowan 6-3 on the tennis courts. FSU defeated Saint Paul's in a double-header on March 30. Kristan Tapassi played the #1 singles and defeated Kashae Beverly 6-3 and 6-2. Samantha Meeks won the #2 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Amanda Spaulding. The two paired together for an 8-1 win over Kashae Beverly and Jena'y Nelson. The Lady Broncos won four of the six single matches and two of the three doubles.
