FAYETTEVILLE STATE HONORS ITS STUDENT-ATHLETES AT AWARDS BANQUET

Fayetteville State University celebrated the accomplishments of its student-athletes at the 24th Annual All-Sports banquet, held on Tuesday evening (March 21) inside the Capel Arena. Junior L'Oreal Price (Raleigh, NC) and sophomore Richard Medlin (Raleigh, NC) were honored as the female and male Student-Athletes of the Year. Freshman Kristen Britt (Delco, NC) and Paul Murphy (Charlotte, NC) were this year's recipients of the Meritous Award. [+]

4/4/09 - Women's Tennis

LADY BRONCOS NETS CHOWAN 6-3

Fayetteville State has won its fourth game of the season and its third one in a row when the Lady Broncos defeated Chowan 6-3 on the tennis courts. FSU defeated Saint Paul's in a double-header on March 30. Kristan Tapassi played the #1 singles and defeated Kashae Beverly 6-3 and 6-2. Samantha Meeks won the #2 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Amanda Spaulding. The two paired together for an 8-1 win over Kashae Beverly and Jena'y Nelson. The Lady Broncos won four of the six single matches and two of the three doubles. [+]
