HAMPTON, VA -- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, in conjunction with the CIAA Softball Coaches Association, announces its selections for the 2014 All-Conference Teams, All-Rookie Team and Players of the Year.

Fayetteville State received two nods for the All-CIAA First Team and one for the All-Rookie Team.

Jessica Randolph, a senior left fielder from Pinetops, NC, and catcher Sierra Henderson-Holmes, a junior from Olivia, NC, received first team honors after a 10-8 conference season.

Henderson-Holmes ranks fifth in conference play with six doubles and tenth in hits (20). On defense, she was eighth in runners caught stealing with five and ninth in putouts with 73.

Randolph ranks third in batting averages with a .485 and fourth in on base percentages at .575.

Designated player Erica Rodriguez (Charlotte, NC) received an All-Rookie Team nod after posting a .228 batting average with eight runs and 12 RBI.

The All-Conference and Rookie Teams was honored at the 2014 CIAA Spring Sports Awards Ceremony today, Wednesday, April 16 on the campus of Virginia State University.
