The Lady Bears of Shaw University swept The Fayetteville State University Lady Broncos 20-13 and 16-10 in a CIAA Softball doubleheader at Arthur "Monk" Smith Athletic Complex. The losses were the final regular-season games for the 2007 season and dropped the Broncos' overall records to 7-27 and 7-13 CIAA.

In the first game, the Lady Broncos could only get four hits, with Dominique Mills, Sade Morris, LaToya Brown and Tiauna Clemmons reaching base. FSU's pitcher Morris issued 15 base-on-balls and the team committed seven errors to help the Lady Bears with their eighth win of the season.

The second game saw little changes in the results as the Lady Bears collected 14 hits en route to a 16-10 conference win. The game was tied at nine going into the fourth inning before Shaw erupted for four runs to put the game out of reach for FSU. Ariel McNair was 3-for-5 and three RBI's and DeOndra Peterson, 1-for-3 with a double; which were the only FSU players to do any damage in their final regular season game.

The Lady Broncos begins preparation for the CIAA Spring Softball Tournament scheduled to start Wednesday, April 18 at Petersburg Softball Complex in Petersburg, VA. The Lady Broncos will start tournament action at 12:00 noon on Field 1.
