FAYETTEVILLE - Dr. LaWanda Miller and the Fayetteville State cheerleading squad will host the 10th annual Bronco Cheerleading Camp on July 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The camp, which will be held inside Capel Arena, is open to ages four and up and will broken up into three groups: peewees, preteens and teens. The $25 fee for each participant much be received no later than July 14.

FSU's cheerleaders, better known as "Cheer Phi Smoov," will help the campers learn new cheers and chants, choreographed dances and pom routines. At its conclusion, participants will have a cheerleading exhibition featuring new moves and grooves learned by each group. Ribbons and certificates will be awarded and bag lunches will be provided.

The camp has been held every summer on the second to the last Saturday in July since 2001.

"Cheer Phi Smoov" has performed at various events across North Carolina and had two selections -- junior Bianca Malloy and sophomore Shomika Edmonds -- to the CIAA's All-Cheerleading team during the 2009-10 season.
