Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville State University Department of Athletics has enlarged their summer camp offerings to eight programs for 2016. There will be five annual summer camp programs returning and the additions of a men’s basketball camp, a softball camp, and an advanced volleyball camp.

Women's basketball will conduct their 5th Annual Fundamentals and Skills Camp for girls on June 20-22; football will host their 2nd Annual Youth Camp on June 26th and a Prospect Camp on June 27th; volleyball will hold their 3rd Annual Volleyball Summer Camp for beginners on July 25-26; and Cheer Phi Smoov will have their 16th Annual Cheerleading Camp on July 16th.

New to the Broncos summer camp lineup is the men’s basketball Skills Basketball Summer Camp scheduled for June 23-25 inside Felton J. Capel Arena; softball will host a Pitchers and Catchers Summer Camp on August 1-3 at Seabrook Park; and women’s volleyball has expanded to offer an Advanced Volleyball Summer Camp on July 27-29, also in Capel Arena.

The goal of each summer camp is to teach the fundamentals of the respective sport while stressing good sportsmanship and academic achievement. In addition to one-on-one attention from the Broncos’ and Lady Broncos' coaching staffs and collegiate student-athletes, each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and certificate.

The fees for the camps range from $25 to $125. The summer programs begin with the Football Prospect Camp on June 4th and conclude with the Softball Pitchers and Catchers Camp on August 3rd.
