FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - It is a busy week in sports for Fayetteville State Athletics.

The men's golf team kicks off a crowded week of competition with the CIAA Southern Division Tournament in Clayton, N.C., with rounds being played on Monday and Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, the Lady Broncos' softball team begins a grueling week that includes three home doubleheaders. All games will take place at L.R. Saunders Field at Seabrook Park. Fayetteville State will also return to CIAA play when it travels to play Shaw at 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The defending CIAA Champion Lady Broncos bowling team also returns to the lanes this week, hosting a Southern Division meet for the second time this season. Action will begin around noon on Friday at B&B Bowling Lanes and will continue with matches on Saturday and Sunday.

Fayetteville State's tennis team, which finished with a 2-1 mark over the weekend in the first session of roundup play, hits the courts to complete the second part of cross-divisional play when it travels to Murfreesboro, N.C., to take on CIAA foes Chowan, Elizabeth City State and Virginia Union.
