FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Fayetteville State University bowling team gets back in action on Friday in Charlotte for a cross-divisional round-up hosted by Johnson C. Smith. The bowling will take place at Centennial Lanes on South Boulevard.
The Lady Broncos will face each Northern Division foe (Bowie State, Chowan, Elizabeth City State, Virginia State and Virginia Union) three times over the three-day event, with match play on Friday and Saturday to be followed by Baker matches on Sunday.
FSU is 28-0 thus far this season after dominant performances against Southern Division teams in Fayetteville and in Petersburg, Va.
The Lady Broncos have five bowlers averaging more than 180 pins per game. Ashley Cooper paces the team with a 193 average.
Jasmin Aponte has the team's highest score this season. She bowled a 265 against Winston-Salem State on Jan. 25.
Crystal Mujica is second on the team with a 192.8 average. She has a high score of 236 that she achieved on Jan. 24.
