![]() 5/18/10 - Bowling CIAA HONORS COACHES AND ADMINISTRATORS AT SPRING MEETINGThe Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association held its annual Spring Meeting today at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. At the conclusion of the general assembly, an awards luncheon was held to honor the 2009-2010 Coaches of the Year and to introduce the Administrators of the Year. The association honored three individuals from Fayetteville State University, Head Football Coach Kenny Phillips, Head Bowling Coach Robert "Bobby" Henderson and Sports Information Director Adrian Ferguson. Junior Tiffany Haywood (Fayetteville, NC) and senior Marcos Esquivel (Kearny, AZ) were honored as the female and male athletes of the year. Juniors Kristy Mitchell (Fayetteville, NC) and Paul Murphy (Charlotte, NC) were given the female and male meritorious awards. Ray Thomas, host of the Bronco Café on 91.9 WFSS and voice of the Broncos, presided over the event and assisted in paying homage more than 200 student athletes in nine sports at FSU.
