Kristen Hanzer (Sr., Youngsville, NC) was recognized as the CIAA Player of the Week while Head Coach
Eva Patterson-Heath earned CIAA Coach of the Week.
Hanzer, playing in her first game as a Lady Bronco, scored a game-high 18 points against the Sabers on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 at the free-throw line. She also had six rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals, while committing no turnovers in 19 minutes of action.
Patterson-Heath, who is in her third season at the helm, recorded her 38th coaching win at Fayetteville State. She had three players score in double-figures, while holding Barber-Scotia to 32.3% shooting from the field and 25.0% from beyond the three-point line. FSU shot 56.9% from the field and forced the Sabers into 31 turnovers. The 90 points scored by the Lady Broncos are the most in a win since scoring 87 against Coker in 2011.
