FSU Invites Breast Cancer Survivors To “Ball In Pink” Basketball Game

Feb. 12, 2018

Fayetteville State University (FSU) will host its annual “Ball in Pink” basketball game on Saturday, February 17, 2018, against Winston-Salem State University.  Wear pink and help make a difference.

Universities across the nation are unified together in helping to raise money through an annual basketball game spotlighting breast cancer awareness.  This is the ninth year that Fayetteville State University is participating. Game fans can show support for Breast Cancer Awareness by purchasing a candy bar, other gifts items or by making a donation. Student volunteers will be in the stands throughout the game selling items and collecting money. Proceeds will be donated to the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation Friends of the Cancer Center.

Breast cancer survivors who express interest in attending the game will be given complimentary admission and special seating in the Chancellor’s Section. Mrs. Nancy Anderson will host a special reception and recognition ceremony for survivors at the conclusion of the women’s game.  The women’s game begins at 1 p.m.

If you are interested in attending, contact Mike King at 910-672-2565 or email mjking@uncfsu.edu. The deadline to register is 5 p.m. on February 12, 2018.
