Coach Patterson-Heath will Coach her 100th game this upcoming Saturday

HAMPTON, VA - Fayetteville State Head Women's Basketball Coach Eva Patterson-Heath has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association "Coach of the Week" after guiding the Lady Broncos to a 3-0 record last week. FSU is currently atop the CIAA Southern Division standings and are riding a six-game winning streak after defeating the Bowie State Bulldogs 70-59 on Monday evening.
Patterson-Heath led FSU to victories over Elizabeth City State, Lincoln (PA) and Virginia Union. She recorded two home wins over Lincoln (PA) and VUU and a key CIAA road win at ECSU. Fayetteville State is off to its best start during her tenure at 14-2 and is the only unbeaten team in the CIAA at 6-0.
The fourth-year head coach has compiled a 51-48 record during her tenure at FSU and 28-31 mark in the conference. She came to Fayetteville State in 2009-10 after enjoying a successful prep coaching career at Red Springs High School in Red Springs, NC. During her 24 seasons at Red Springs, Patterson-Heath tallied a 503-128 record while leading her teams to 17 conference championships and 11 conference tournament titles.
Patterson-Heath will be coaching the 100th game of her collegiate career on Saturday, Jan. 19 as the Lady Broncos head to Charlotte, NC. The tipoff against Johnson C. Smith University is set for 5:30 pm. as Fayetteville State kicks off CIAA Southern Division play.
