ETTRICK, Va. - Turnovers continue to haunt the Fayetteville State women's basketball team.

Virginia State (7-0, 4-0 CIAA) forced 32 Broncos turnovers en route to a 60-51 in Daniel Gym on Monday.

FSU (3-2, 2-1 CIAA) has 30 or more turnovers in each of its first five games.

Mercedes Humphries led the Broncos with 11 points while center Deja Middleton and senior L'oreal Price both scored 10 points.

The Broncos made just 6-of-15 free throw attempts and shot 42.9 percent from the field. VSU out-rebounded FSU 49-33.

VSU's Angela Brown had a game-high 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Humphries and FSU will host Barton College inside Capel Arena on Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
