
Fayetteville, NC – The Fayetteville State University department of athletics will postpone the 1000 Broncos Golf Tournament originally scheduled for Friday, September 2nd until Friday, November 4th due to inclement weather. The effects of Hurricane Hermine have been forecasted to impact North Carolina and potentially the Cumberland County region on Friday, September 2nd.
All registered teams and individuals will be automatically registered for the event on the new date. Any registered individual(s) unavailable to participate on November 4, 2016 and seek resolution, contact Assistant Athletics Director for Development and Marketing, Michael King at 910-987-3390.
Registration and sponsorship opportunities will reopen for interested parties. The 1000 Broncos Golf Tournament will be held at The Gates Four Golf & Country Club located at 6775 Irongate Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
The 1000 Broncos Campaign is designed to generate scholarship support for Fayetteville State University Athletics. The campaign helps to ensure that FSU's student-athletes the opportunity for the best possible athletic and collegiate experience.
The shotgun start time will remain at 9:00 a.m. with on-site registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. On-line registration is available: https://aceware.uncfsu.edu/CourseStatus.awp?&course=16FAGOLF100. The cost is $65 per person and/or $240 per foursome. The registration fee includes cart/green fees, as well as breakfast and lunch.
The 1000 Broncos Golf Tournament will now be held (November 4th) the day before the football regular season finale against Winston-Salem State University on Saturday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. inside Luther “Nick” Jeralds Stadium.
