May 9, 2007 Pooler, GA - Another day of high winds at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/Southeast Golf Regional left Belmont Abbey College with a 10 stroke advantage over second place Barton College. Heading into Wednesday final round of the Atlantic Region have Fayetteville State University in fourth place with a two-day total 651, twenty strokes behind the tournament leader. The Broncos fired a 317 but could not overcome the advantage built by the Crusaders on the first day of the tournament. Individually, FSU's Ian Milne carded a 77 which left him tied for third, two strikes behind Barton's Nick Nosewicz, with 10-over-par 154 total. Play concludes on Wednesday with a single round beginning with 8:00 a.m. tee times. The champions from the Atlantic and Southeast region advance to the 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships in Allendale, MI, on May 22-25 - as well as the next three lowest schools regardless of region.
