FSU Broncos Isaiah Shaw Finished NCAA Regionals Tied at 58th

Daniels, W.Va. - Fayetteville State's Isaiah Shaw finished the 2018 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championship tied at 58th overall with a three-day total score of 232 (+16) on Wednesday afternoon at The Resort at Glade Springs.

Amongst 108 golfers, Shaw finished the 7,114-yard Par 72 Cobb (Black) course with the same score as 10 other golfers. The CIAA Championship's Low Medalist Winner also finished tied for fourth amongst 12 CIAA golfers at the Regionals. Virginia Union finished 16th overall (917, +53) as a team and Livingstone was 19th (945, +81). Saint Augustine's Sam Cudjoe was 104th with a +35 (251) finish.

After winning the CIAA individual title on April 20th, Isaiah Shaw completed his first round of regional play with a 73, one-over par. Although he increased his birdie performance by one in the second round, Shaw's four birdies were countered by six bougies and one double bougie for a 76 (+4) score.

Shaw turned in an 83 (+11) card on the final day of competition. After going Even (36) and +1 (37) on the Back Nine the first two days, the same nine holes was even more challenging on the third with a 44 (+8) performance.

Isaiah Shaw will complete the 2018 season over the weekend with three-rounds of competition at the 32nd PGA Minority Collegiate Championship in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
