WSSU-FSU Game Notes
FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Fayetteville State football team will host the second-ranked Winston-Salem State Rams in the CIAA Game of the Week on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday is also Senior Day for the Broncos as they will recognize five seniors prior to the game.

No. 22 WINSTON-SALEM STAYS UNBEATEN WITH WIN OVER FAYETTEVILLE STATE
CIAA leading rusher Nic Cooper ran for a career-high 257 yards and four touchdowns while quarterback Kameron Smith proved efficient as 22nd-ranked Winston-Salem State got off to a hot start and prevailed in a 56-20 victory over Fayetteville State on Saturday night at Bowman-Gray Stadium.

THE EVENT: Fayetteville State wraps up the 2012 season this afternoon as it hosts the second-ranked Winston-Salem State Rams. The Broncos are coming off a 47-29 Homecoming victory over the Livingstone Blue Bears, while the Rams were victorious at home over Shaw 62-31.
THE SERIES: This afternoon marks the 65th all-time meeting between Fayetteville State and Winston-Salem State. The Rams lead the all-time series 47-14-3. WSSU won the last meeting between the two teams 56-20 last season in Winston-Salem, NC. Winston-Salem State also won the last meeting in Fayetteville 31-14 in 2010.
BRONCO BULLETS: • FSU head coach Kenny Phillips recorded his 75th career coaching victory against Livingstone last week in a 47-29 victory. • Running back Colon Bailey, Jr. broke FSU's single-game rushing record with 288 yards and three touchdowns in 36 carries against the Blue Bears. He needs just 63 yards to break the 1,000-yard rushing barrier this season. FSU has not had a running back since Clifton Davis in 1994 rush for over 1,000 yards in a season. Davis rushed for 1,063 yards that season. • The Broncos recorded over 500 yards of offense and 300-plus yards rushing for the first time since a 64-6 win over Johnson C. Smith during the 2010 season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: Fayetteville State University 3 Michael Fogg (SS) - Collected his first career fumble recovery and interception in FSU's win over Livingstone. Finished second on the team with seven tackles (four solo and three assisted).
7 Tevin Clay (WR) - Recorded his first career touchdown pass in the Homecoming victory over Livingstone. Finished second on the team with two catches for 37 yards in the contest.
9 Ricardo White (WR) - Caught a team-high three catches for 73 yards and one touchdown in the 47-29 win over Livingstone. His 53-yard touchdown catch was the longest play from scrimmage this season for Fayetteville State.
13 Antonio Mayo (K) - Recorded 11 points on two field goals and five extra points against Livingstone. Made both of his field goal attempts from 20 and 25 yards, while his five extra points made are a career-high.
18 Michael Johnson (FS) - Led FSU's defense with 10 tackles (seven solo, three assisted) against Livingstone. Also had one-half tackle for loss,one fumble recovery and one pass breakup.
24 Colon Bailey, Jr. (RB) - Rushed for over 200 yards for the second straight game. Had 288 yards on the ground with three touchdowns on 36 carries. Broke the school's single-game rushing record of 265 yards set in 1993 by Clifton Davis. The 288 yards and three touchdowns are both career-highs for Bailey, Jr.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: Winston-Salem State University 4 Jahuann Butler (WR) - Caught a team-high eight passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns against Shaw. Had a long reception of 43 yards and averaged 15.0 yards per catch.
6 Kameron Smith (QB) - Passed for 363 yards and six touchdowns on 23-of-36 attempts in a 62-31 win over Shaw. Also rushed for a team-high 36 yards and one touchdown on seven carries. Averaged 5.1 yards per rush and had a long run of 14 yards.
38 Daniel Mungin (LB) - Collected a team-high two tackles for loss for the Rams against Shaw. Also had one sack and five tackles (four solo and one assisted).
44 Carlos Fields, Jr. (LB) - Recorded a team-high nine tackles (all solo) and one forced fumble against Shaw.
82 Jameze Massey (WR) - Had three catches for 114 yards and one touchdown in WSSU's win over Shaw. Had a game-long reception of 67 yards and averaged 38.0 yards per catch.
