Indianapolis, IN - The Broncos remain as one of the top 10 teams in the polls. The NCAA Division II Football Committee has released this year's third poll. Fayetteville State falls from number eight to number nine in the Super Regional One.

FSU is currently 6-2 in the overall standings, 4-1 in the CIAA, and in a tie for first place in the Western Division with Shaw University. The Broncos have two games remaining and hopes of advancing to the CIAA Championship game. If both teams end the season with the exact same conference record, Shaw owns the tiebreaker due to their victory in head-to-head competition.

The Broncos will travel to Raleigh, NC to square off against St. Augustine's College on Saturday, October 25th. Earned access to the playoffs can be gained by a conference if a conference representative finishes in the top eight of the final super regional rankings. The top six teams generally make it to the playoffs, however the top eight are considered. If a conference champion is ranked 7th or 8th then the team can be bumped to the 6th place spot.

The top 10 teams by super regional are listed along with their overall record and their Division II won-lost record through games of October 20, 2008.
