THE PREVIEW: Bowie State is off to another impressive start with a 4-0 overall record. The Bulldogs have averaged 55.2 points per game and has scored 221 points so far on the season.

In 2009, BSU Head Coach Damon Wilson took over the program and had a similar start. The Bulldogs broke the school record for most offensive yards in a game, was ranked as high as eighth (8th) in the region, and closed the season with the No. 1 ranked defense in the country.

Also in 2009, Fayetteville State traveled to Bowie, MD and defeated the Bulldogs 30-20 and again in the CIAA Championship game 21-10 on November 7th in Durham, NC.

The series between the Bulldogs and Broncos have been intense. As Fayetteville State looks to right the ship and play to its ability, look out for another high scoring game from both squads.

THE GAME: This weekend will be the 30th overall meeting between the FSU Broncos and BSU Bulldogs. FSU leads the series 15-13-1 and since 2000, the two are at an even tilt with a 5-5 series record.

The game will be the second cross-conference contest of the season. Next week, CIAA member institutions will begin divisional play. CIAA divisional winners are determined by the seven (7) conference games.

Saturday will have partly cloudy skies with highs around 80 degrees. Lows will expect to reach 53. Winds will be NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Humidity will be around 57% with zero chance of rain. Sunset will be around 7:00 pm.
