FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Fayetteville State football team will hit the road for the first time in the last two contests as it travels to Murfreesboro, NC to face the Chowan Hawks at Garrison Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and will be the first conference road game of the season for the Broncos.

The Fayetteville State rushing attack has struggled for most of the season.
Saturday, it came to life.
Senior running back Calvin Harris ran for career-high 141 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries to lead the Broncos to a 37-17 win over Chowan.

THE EVENT: The Fayetteville State Broncos will look to capture its first CIAA victory of the 2012 season against the Chowan Hawks in Murfreesboro, NC. This will be the first conference road game of the season for the Broncos, and also the first meeting against the Hawks in three years.
THE SERIES: This weekend will mark the third all-time meeting in the series between Fayetteville State and Chowan. The Broncos lead the all-time series over the Hawks 2-0, but have not met since the 2009 season. Fayetteville State won the last meeting in Murfreesboro 37-17 on Oct. 3, 2009, and was victorious in the first all-time meeting 60-21 in Fayetteville on Oct. 4, 2008.
Senior linebacker was named CIAA Linebacker of the Week on Sept. 24 for his performance in FSU's 20-13 CIAA opening loss to Elizabeth City State.

Quarterback Chauncey Concepcion made his first start of the season last week against Elizabeth City State, passing for 167 yards and rushing for one touchdown
Free safety Michael Johnson recorded an interception for the second straight game against ECSU, and is now tied with defensive back Joshua Scales for the team-lead in interceptions with two each.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:

9 Ricardo White (WR) - Finished the Elizabeth City State game with a team-high 61 yards receiving on five catches. Had a long reception of 17 yards.
13 Antonio Mayo (PK) - Went 2-for-2 in field goal attempts last week against Elizabeth City State. Made field goals from 42 and 41 yards, with the 42-yarder being a new career-high for him. Has not missed a field goal or extra-point attempt this season.
15 Chauncey Concepcion (QB) - Passed for a team-leading 167 yards on 16-of-26 passing in his first start of the season at the position. Also rushed for the team's only touchdown, which was his second of the season. Had a long rush of 23 yards.
18 Michael Johnson (FS) - Recorded his second interception in as many games against Elizabeth City State. Finished the game second on the team in tackles with 12, four solo and eight assisted. Also recovered his first fumble of the season against the Vikings.
19 Kasunn Williams (WR) - Led FSU in receptions against ECSU with six for 60 yards. His long reception of 19 yards was second-highest on the team.
30 Bryce Williams (LB) - Earned CIAA Linebacker of the Week honors for his performance against Elizabeth City State. Recorded new career-highs in tackles (16), 11 solo and five assisted, tackles for loss (5.5), sacks (3) and forced fumbles (1).
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
2 Elliot Smalls (RB) - Had one of Chowan's two touchdown receptions against Shaw. Finished the game with two catches for 10 yards, while also rushing for 11 yards on four carries.
3 David Fulton (DB) - Finished the Shaw game tied for the team-lead with six tackles and one tackle for loss, while recording one interception and returning it 58 yards.
5 JR Williams (RB) - Caught a three passes for a team-leading 68 yards receiving with one touchdown at Shaw. Had a long reception of 51 yards.
7 Cameron Stover (QB) - Went 17-of-28 for 210 yards passing and two touchdowns in Chowan's 49-35 victory at Shaw. Completed 60.7% of his passes thrown, and had a long pass of 51 yards.
32 Tim Hanson (RB) - Named CIAA Offensive Back of the Week for his performance against Shaw in which he rushed for a team-high 186 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries. He had a long run of 68 yards and averaged 6.2 yards per run.
58 Chris Morris (LB) - Tied for the team-lead with six tackles, all solo, in 49-35 victory at Shaw. Also had a 23-yard interception return.
84 Antjuan Randall (WR) - Had a team-high six receptions and 75 yards receiving in 49-35 win at Shaw.
