WEEKLY PRESS CONFERENCE "Broncos On Blast": The Department of Athletics at Fayetteville State University will host its weekly coach's press conference on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. Bill McMillan, of the FSUBroncos.com Sports Network, will host Head Football Coach Lawrence Kershaw and select football players during the 30-minute event. The function will be held on the second level of Felton J. Capel Arena and is open to the public.

The event will be streamed live on the www.fsubroncos.com/allaccess page. Bill McMillan will be taking questions via the Broncos Twitter handle @FSUBroncos. Please include #BroncosOnBlast in your tweet.

BRONCOS FOOTBALL ON THE RADIO: For the fourth-straight year, Bronco football will air on WFSS-FM 91.9. WFSS will broadcast all 10 regular-season games. Donal Ware (play-by-play) and Eric Curry will have the call beginning with the pregame show 30 minutes prior to kickoff. WFSS' signal reaches East to West from Goldsboro to Rockingham and North to South from Raleigh into South Carolina. The games can also be heard online or through mobile devices at www.wfss.org.

The FSU Coaches Show with Lawrence Kershaw airs each Thursday from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. on WFSS. Donal Ware talks with Coach Kershaw about the previous game and the upcoming opponent.

THE EVENT: The Down East Classic, now in its 16th year, has grown each year drawing over 10,000 fans to the Rocky Mount Athletic Complex. Fans have the opportunity to enjoy a CIAA football game, golf challenge, college and regional high school bands, and a variety of social and entertainment activities. Through additional recruitment and outreach activities, ECSU also offers scholarship opportunities for students in the Rocky Mount-Nash-Edgecombe-Wilson areas. Fayetteville State has a 4-1 record against ECSU in the classic.

THE GAME: Fayetteville State escaped the dreaded 0-3 tag with a 21-7 victory over Virginia Union last weekend. Elizabeth City State wasn't as fortunate with a 34-13. ECSU Head Coach Waverly Tillar has guided his team to four Division Championships (2006, 2008, 2011, 2012) and NCAA Playoff Berths in 2006 and 2011. The Vikings are looking to get over the hump while the Broncos are looking to continue with its recent success.

THE SERIES: Elizabeth City State leads the current series 32-23-5; with three dates missing results. The first ever match-up dates back to 1939 in Elizabeth City, NC. The Broncos won 12-6. From the time span of 1993 and 2005, Fayetteville State has won 12 of the 13 games played. The longest FSU streak is ten games. Elizabeth City State has the most recent win streak of five wins in a row. Since 2000, FSU is ahead by one game (6-5).

FSU PLAYERS TO WATCH:
QB #10 Jemeryn Jenkins - After three games played, Jenkins ranks sixth in the CIAA in yards per game (178.3) and touchdowns (5). He is seventh in yards with 535. His rushing yards has increased from 26, to 60, and to 81 yards.

WR #19 Kasunn Williams - The 6-3 195lbs Junior ranks fifth in the conference in yards (248) and yards per game (82.7). The two rankings come from eight receptions in two games.

RB #30 Andre Montgomery - Montgomery is seventh in the CIAA rushing yards per game (57.7). With 173 yards, he ranks number one in average yards per carry (6.4) with 27 rushes.

FS #18 Michael Johnson - The Broncos Free Safety has been a leader on the field and off. He is fifth in the CIAA in total tackles (26). With 19 solo stops, he is averaging 8.7 tackles per game. Johnson has two pass breakups and two-and-a-half tackles for a loss of four yards.

DL #15 Thomas Perry - Perry is tied with six others in the CIAA at the 23rd position in total tackles (18). He is averaging six tackles per game and has 11 solo stops.

ECSU PLAYERS TO WATCH:
QB #7 Casey Turner - Turner leads the CIAA in passing yards with 831 and average per game (277.0). He is second with eight touchdown throws.

RB #11 Petey Boone - Boone ranks 12th in the conference with 144 yards and 11th with 37 attempts, 48.0 yards per game and 3.9 yards per rush. He is fourth in rushing touchdowns with three.

WR #82 Keith Strickland - Strickland is second in the CIAA in yards per catch (18.8) and receiving touchdowns (4). He is sixth in yards (244) and yard per game (81.3)

LB #20 Josh Dawkins - Dawkins leads the Vikings on defense with 23 stops (10th rank in the CIAA) and ranks sixth in the CIAA in solo tackles (15).

LB #34 Breon Bailey - Bailey is 15th in the CIAA in total tackles with 20 stops. He is 11th with 11 assisted tackles. Bailey has one interception.

DB #3 Corey Davis - Davis also has 20 total tackles. Thirteen of them are solo stops. He has four pass breakups and one interception.
