FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Fayetteville State linebacker Bryce Williams (Sr., St. Petersburg, FL) has been tabbed as the CIAA Linebacker of the Week for his performance last week in the Broncos’ 20-13 conference-opening loss to Elizabeth City State at Luther “Nick” Jeralds Stadium.
Williams set new career-highs in tackles, sacks, tackles for loss and forced fumbles against the Vikings. He tallied 16 tackles, 11 solo and five assisted, three sacks for a total of 21 yards, 5.5 tackles for loss for 27 yards and one forced fumble. He has now recorded 10 or more tackles in back-to-back games to go with a total four sacks.
This is the first Player of the Week honor for Williams this season.
