FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Fayetteville State football squad will look to capture its second straight victory of the season on Saturday evening as the Broncos host the Elizabeth City State Vikings in their CIAA opener at 6 p.m.
The Broncos are coming off a come-from-behind 28-17 victory last weekend in their home opener against previously unbeaten Virginia Union and are currently 1-2 on the season. The Vikings also started the season 0-2, dropping contests with Newberry and Delta State, before earning their first win of the 2012 season last week 13-12 at home over Albany State.

THE EVENT: Fayetteville State will remain at the friendly confines of Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium on Saturday evening for a 6 p.m. showdown against the Elizabeth City State Vikings. Both teams enter the contest with identical 1-2 records after picking up wins last weekend against their respective teams. The Broncos opened their home schedule with a 28-17 victory over previously-unbeated Virginia, while the Vikings won a thrilling 13-12 contest over Albany State.
THE SERIES: Tonight marks the 61st all-time meeting between Elizabeth City State and Fayetteville State. The Broncos have lost the last four meetings in the series to Elizabeth City State, with their last win coming during the 2005 season in Fayetteville. Fayetteville State lost 42-21 to the Vikings last season in Fayetteville.

1 Jamere Pugh(WR) - Had three kickoff returns for a total of 78 yards against Virginia Union. Recorded a long return of 51.
15 Chauncey Concepcion(QB) - Was 8-of-10 passing for 109 yards and one touchdown in FSU's 28-17 win in its home opener over Virginia Union. Recorded his first touchdown pass of the season, and first touchdown through the air for the Broncos this season. Also rushed for 21 yards on eight carries and had a long run of 14.
18 Michael Johnson(FS) - Returned his first interception of the season 62 yards for a touchdown in FSU's 28-17 win over Virginia Union. Also finished the game with seven tackles, third best on the team.
24 Colon Bailey (RB) - Rushed for a team-high 80 yards on 15 carries and one touchdown in a 28-17 win over Virginia Union. Had a long run of 19 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per rush.
30 Bryce Williams(LB) - Recorded a career-high 10 tackles, also a team-high, last Saturday against Virginia Union in a 28-17 win. Tallied four solo tackles and six assisted tackles, while recording one sack for a one-yard loss. Also had 2.5 tackles for loss.
34 Andre Montgomery (RB) - Finished second on the team against Virginia Union with 48 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown. The touchdown was his first of the season. Posted a long run of 15 and had a 4.4 yards per carry average.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: Elizabeth City State University
5 Michael Williams (LB) - Had a team-leading 11 total tackles against Albany State on five solo tackles and six assisted tackles.
8 DaRonte McNeill (RB) - Rushed for a team-high 49 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown in ECSU's 13-12 win over Albany State. Had a long run of 26 and averaged 2.5 yards per carry.
12 Antonio Huff (WR) - Was the team's leading receiver with 75 yards, with a long of 41, and tied for the team-lead with six receptions in the Vikings' victory last Saturday over Albany State. Had a long reception of 41 yards.
16 Namon Jones (QB) - Passed for 254 yards on 24-of-37 attempts and one interception last week against Albany State. Recorded a long pass of 41 yards, and was the team's second leading rusher as he had a long run of 10 yards.
21 Julius Williams (LB) - Finished the Albany State game with four assisted tackles and collected the team's only interception.
42 Brad Davis (DE) - Recorded a team-best two tackles for loss against Albany State and had the team's only sack of the game.
