FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The 2012 Fayetteville State football season is just around the corner. The Department of Athletics is proud to extend the opportunity for its faithful to beat the long lines of Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium with the purchase of a season ticket. FSU is offering a wide variety of season ticket packages for the five home games of this season.

The Family Package includes general seating tickets for two adults and two children for $200, which gives the buyer a savings of almost $100. The Half Family Package costs $175 which can be purchased as one adult and two children tickets or two adults and one child's ticket in general seating.

Reserved Sections at LN Jeralds Stadium


Fayetteville State is offering the Reserve Adult Package of one ticket at $95 (a savings of $10), which would allow the buyer to watch the games from the reserved seats of the 50-yard line at Jeralds Stadium. A General Adult Package is $80 (a savings of $10).

Children are identified between the ages of 4-17. One may purchase a child's season ticket at cost for $55.

A general admission package for military (with identification), FSU faculty and staff and senior citizens (60-and-above) will cost patrons $50 (a savings of $31). Payroll deduction is available to FSU faculty and staff.

Fayetteville State is also offering its tailgating season ticket package. Fans can reserve two parking spaces in the tailgating lot for the entire season at $125. Only 75 tailgating spots are available and are expected to sell quickly. For more information about ordering tailgating season tickets, contact Diane Porter at (910) 672-1314.

The Fayetteville State Broncos will play five home games this season. For the first time in four years, the Broncos will not open their new season with the annual Two Rivers Classic, a regional rivalry between Fayetteville State and the UNC Pembroke Braves. In 2012, the fourth annual playing of the popular matchup will take place in Week 2, on Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. in Pembroke, NC.

Instead, Fayetteville State will open its home season against cross-divisional CIAA opponents in nonconference play. The Broncos will play Virginia Union at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 followed by a home date against Elizabeth City State at 6 p.m. on Sept. 22.

Fayetteville State is scheduled to return home Oct. 13, to take on Johnson C. Smith at 6 p.m. before hitting the road for the final time during the regular season. The Broncos conclude the season with two of its most anticipated dates. Homecoming will take place on Oct. 27 as Fayetteville State takes on Livingstone at 2 p.m.

The Broncos will then close the regular season on Nov. 3 at 1:30 pm with perhaps its toughest opponent of the season, HBCU National Champion and national Runner-up in NCAA Division II, Winston-Salem State. Fayetteville State will also honor its seniors prior to kickoff.
