ATLANTA - Already the CIAA and Pigskin Club's Coach of the Year, Fayetteville State head coach
Kenny Phillips added another trophy to his mantle on Tuesday.
Phillips, in his 10th year with the Broncos, was selected as the 100% Wrong Club's CIAA Coach of the Year.
In 2009, Phillips led FSU to its third CIAA Championship and its third appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
The 100% Wrong Club is an Atlanta based organization that began its efforts to acknowledge the accomplishments of athletes from Historical Black Colleges and Universities in 1934.
A 1985 graduate of East Carolina University, Phillips will be honored by the club during its annual awards banquet celebration on Feb. 5 in Atlanta. Phillips is FSU's all-time wins leader with 64 victories in his 10 seasons with the Broncos.
