Hardy is a 2004 graduate from West Craven High School in Vanceboro. While in high school, Bryan participated in football and basketball. He received honors of All Area, All Conference and Player of the Year.
Upon graduation, Bryan Hardy attended South Carolina State University for two seasons prior to transferring to Fayetteville State University. He majors in Physical Education and is pursuing a minor in Health. The library is his best place to study and although he loves all his classes, his favorite instructor is Dr. Peggy Green. His academic goal is to graduate with honors.
Now a member of the 2007 Bronco Football Team, Hardy quickly became the starting QB for FSU. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury in the first game versus Wingate University. After a few games, Hardy bounced back to lead the Broncos in the closing half of the season to a 3-1 finish.
In five games, Hardy completed 54 of 111 pass attempts for 587 yards. He threw six touchdowns and had a longest pass completion of 38 yards. His throwing percentage was 48.6. Bryan Hardy scampered 73 times with the ball for 217 yards. His longest run was for 26 yards.
Bryan Hardy worked as a personal trainer this summer. His favorite coach is Phil Jackson because he is a winner. Oh course, his favorite NBA team is the Lakers for he admires Kobe Bryant. The best NFL team for Hardy is the 49ers but he will watch successful quarterbacks such as his hometown Anthony Wright of the New York Giants, Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, and Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts.
Hardy's favorite collegiate athlete is himself for he is his own competition. His personal heroes are his parents (Samuel & Tara Hardy). "Without them I wouldn't be who I am today", states Bryan.
