"CREATING NEW CHAMPIONS BY HONORING PAST CHAMPIONS" September 2, 2011, 7:00 p.m.
The Event: Fayetteville State University is pleased to announce the Inaugural FSU Champions Gridiron Scholarship Fundraiser, an event to honor the past Broncos champions and celebrate future success by generating funds to endow scholarships for Broncos' student-athletes. The Headliner: North Carolina Assistant Secretary of State Robert Wilson will make remarks at the Gala. Wilson is a graduate of Fayetteville State University and was inducted into the FSU Hall of Fame in 2010. Championship Pedigree: Join FSU in honoring past CIAA Champions as the teams from 2002, 2003 and 2009 reunite to celebrate their unique and sensational achievements in the game of football and in life. When: The Gala will be held on the eve of the Third Annual Two Rivers Classic, the season-opening game between Fayetteville State and UNC Pembroke. Where: Fayetteville State University will host the fundraiser on campus at Felton J. Capel Arena. In addition: The Fundraiser will also feature a silent auction of a collection of items and prizes from the community, as well as live musical entertainment and a dance. On Saturday, enjoy access to a VIP Tailgate before and during the Two Rivers Classic with a unique view of the action. What You Can Do: Tickets are available at $50 per person for this special scholarship event and donations to the scholarship fund are being accepted.
