  6/10/09 - Football FAYETTEVILLE STATE FOOTBALL TO REACH NATIONAL TELEVISION AUDIENCEThe football match-up between Fayetteville State and Shaw University, on October 10, 2009, will be nationally televised as part of the CIAA Football Season TV Package. The game will be syndicated throughout the United States as well as on ESPN Plus Syndication, with most stations carrying the game live. The contest will be played on FSU's campus in Luther "Nick" Jerald Stadium with a 1:00 pm kickoff. Junior L'Oreal Price (Raleigh, NC) and sophomore Richard Medlin (Raleigh, NC) were honored as the female and male Student-Athletes of the Year. Freshman Kristen Britt (Delco, NC) and Paul Murphy (Charlotte, NC) were this year's recipients of the Meritous Award. Phillips and his coaching staff are very excited about the in-coming recruiting class. On the biggest day of the recruiting season, 13 talented student-athletes have signed to NCAA National Letters of Intent for FSU. Eleven of the initial class of recruits is from the state of North Carolina while two are from out of state.
