FSU will host a Press Conference following Board's approval

Fayetteville, NC - Fayetteville State University has made an offer to alumnus Alphonza Kee as the 17th Head Men's Basketball Coach, pending Board of Trustees' approval, according to FSU Director of Athletics, Dr. Edward McLean.

Alphonza Kee earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from FSU in 1998 and a Master of Science Degree in Adult Education in 2008 from North Carolina A&T State University. He grew up in New Bern, NC, where he graduated from New Bern High School in 1992.

Plans are to formally introduce Kee to the community in a press conference pending Board approval.

Fayetteville State University is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina and the second-oldest public institution of higher education in the state. Today FSU serves a growing student body of over 6,300 and ranks among the nation's most diverse campus communities. Altogether FSU boasts 43 undergraduate programs, 23 master's degree programs, and one doctoral program in educational leadership.
