The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2007 District 3, College Division, All-Academic Team and Fayetteville State University was elected to the district first team. Hazael Andrew, a 6-7, senior forward will be placed on the national ballot. The national team will be released in March. This is the second time Andrew has received the District 3 honor.
To be eligible, the student-athlete must be a starter or an important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). He/she must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution and must have completed at least on full academic year at their institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
District 3 consists of colleges and universities in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
