The Fayetteville State University Men's Basketball team suffered a 79-70 loss to the Bulldogs of Bowie State University on Thursday evening in the Capel Arena.
The Bulldogs received quality guard play from Gil Goodrich. Goodrich played the most minutes for BSU, scoring 35 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists. Tyronne Beale also played well for Bowie State; he and Goodrich scored 60 of BSU's 79 total points.
Despite the loss, FSU guards Andy Gebru and Jesse Fells turned in 16 points apiece. They were the leading scorers for the Broncos and only one other player had double figures in points on the night.
The loss moves the Broncos to 6-7 on the season while the Bulldogs improve to 8-4 overall with the win. In the CIAA, FSU in 2-4, while Bowie State moves to 3-3.
