Broncos keep the Braves winless

The UNC-Pembroke Braves came into Capel Arena Saturday night without a win for the season and the left in the same fashion. The Broncos dominated the game, capturing the victory 78-60.

Going into halftime the Broncos had an 11 point lead and UNC-Pembroke was shooting 32 percent from the field. Both teams shot better in the second half; UNC-Pembroke shot 47.4 percent, while FSU shot 60.9 percent including 7 for 12 from behind the three point line.

Andy Gebru and Jesse Fells led all scorers for FSU, both finishing with 17 points. UNC-Pembroke had three players finish with double digit totals in points, including leading scorer Jonathan Hart. Despite the losing effort, Hart turned in a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

The victory improves the Broncos' record to 4-3 overall, while UNC-Pembroke has yet to capture their first win of the season, falling to 0-7 in the standings.
