Final Stats

LINCOLN, Pa. - Despite 37 combined points from junior Jamel Carpenter and guard Jarmel Baxter, the Fayetteville State men's basketball dropped the first game of a two-game road trip, 82-73, at Lincoln on Saturday.

Prior to the game, FSU hadn't suffered a road loss since an 89-79 loss at St. Andrews on Dec. 2. Senior forward Davon Hood had a team-high five rebounds and also tallied eight points.

The Broncos (4-7) shot just 35.6 percent from the field but outrebounded the Lions (2-8) 47-36.

FSU is in the middle of a five-day road trip and will face Bowie State on Monday.

The Bulldogs topped FSU 84-73 inside Capel Arena on Nov. 23.
