Amanda Porter joined Fayetteville State's Sports Medicine team in August 2006. Prior to FSU, Porter served as the head athletic trainer for Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw, MI. while attending Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. At WMU, Porter completed her Master of Arts Degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training with an emphasis in Exercise Science in 2006. Before graduate school, Porter attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (Oshkosh, WI) where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training in 2004. Porter has experience working with collegiate, high school, and professional baseball athletes. While attending WMU, she also worked with the United States Tennis Association Nationals Boys 16 and 18 year olds championships. Her primary responsibilities with the Broncos include: volleyball, football, women's basketball and women's tennis. Porter is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer and is licensed by North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners. |
