Massey will represent FSU and the CIAA on a national platform
Dr. Perry A. Massey, Faculty Athletic Representative, is a Professor of Geography and the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Fayetteville State University. Since coming to FSU, Massey has also served as the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Special Assistant to the Chancellor and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior experiences include teaching at Grambling State University and Virginia State University.
Dr. Massey holds a B.S. degree in geography from North Carolina Central University and the M.A. and Ph.D in geography from Clark University in Worcester, Mass.
In his role as Sr. Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, he is responsible for a variety of faculty development issues, and works directly with students on various academic concerns. Massey is knowledgeable about the issue of time to graduation for all students and especially how it impacts student athletes.
