KENNETH LASSITER ADDED TO THE FAYETTEVILLE STATE ATHLETIC TRAINING STAFF

Enhancement to the safety and well-being of FSU student-athletes

Kenneth Lassiter enters his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Fayetteville State for the 2016-17 academic year. He provides coverage for all 10 varsity sports programs with a primary focus working with the FSU football and softball programs.

Lassiter joins the Broncos' athletic training staff after serving two seasons as a graduate athletic trainer at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During his time at NSU, he worked primarily with the men's basketball program, while assisting with the football team.

He began serving in athletic training on the collegiate level as a student trainer at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He worked with the Braves' baseball, men's soccer and women's soccer programs.

Lassiter also has experience from his time working at Red Springs High School (fall 2012) and at Lumberton High School (fall 2011). He is a native of Asheboro, NC. Lassiter obtained his bachelor's degree in athletic training from UNC Pembroke in 2014 and later earned his master's in kinesiology from Northeastern State in 2016.

He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association and the North Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association. He also has the following certifications: BOC, American Red Cross Professional Rescuer, Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure, Graston Technique MI, and Kinesio Tape.
