Carlitta Moore is the youngest to ever be elected Ms. FSU Alumni
Oct. 14, 2015 Fayetteville, NC – Fayetteville State University director of sports medicine and head athletic trainer Carlitta Moore has been announced as the 2015-16 Ms. FSU Alumni by the FSU National Alumni Association on October 10th. Moore earned the position with her fundraising efforts for the national alumni association.

Moore ran her campaign with the vision of “closing the gap between Broncos past and present” to gain a better future. During the 2015-16 Ms. Alumni Competition, over $43,000 was generated between the two candidates. Moore raised approximately $27,085 of the total sum. Funds raised will go towards providing scholarship support at FSU.

“I’m elated to have this opportunity to serve my alma mater as the 2015-16 Ms. FSU Alumni,” stated Moore. “This is a post that I will cherish and work tirelessly for. I’m extremely grateful to all those that supported my campaign. I’m eager and look forward to representing the younger and older Bronco alumni in a positive and productive matter.”

Moore enters her third year as the director of sports medicine and head athletic trainer at Fayetteville State. She is an alumna with Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Moore worked towards her education at FSU as a Chancellor’s Scholar. She studied as a pre-professional student and worked with the Bronco football, men's and women's basketball, softball, tennis and volleyball teams while assisting with Student Health Services.

Moore later received her Masters of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2009. Her course study was Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Athletic Training. Upon obtaining her master’s, Moore spent two years as the assistant athletic trainer at Saint Augustine’s University. During her time at SAU, she assisted with the medical coverage for 16 sports teams as well as the George Williams Express Professional Track Team. She was also a professor and taught Introduction to Athletic Training.

With a continued focus on professional development, Moore is a member of various athletic organizations including: UNC Staff Assembly, Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association, National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), National Athletic Trainers' Association Career Assistance Project Team, North Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association, NATA Young Professionals committee and the NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee. Currently Ms. Moore serves as President of the Alumni Campus Employees (A.C.E.) Chapter of the Fayetteville State University National Alumni Association. She also serves on the FSU Staff Senate, Campus Safety and Security Committee, and the Sexual Misconduct Task Force.

She is also the Third-Vice President of the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and the advisor of the Omega Beta Chapter on campus of FSU. Moore is also a member of New Genesis Fresh Start Ministries where she serves as Vice-President of the Women’s Ministry.

Moore is a native of Charlotte, NC and a 2007 graduate of Fayetteville State University.
