Fayetteville, NC – The Fayetteville State University Department of Athletics will continue with their Bronco Scholar-Sacks Program this fall to generate more support for student-athlete scholarships. Each time a Fayetteville State football student-athlete sacks an opposing quarterback this season; pledges will go towards the 1000 BRONCOS Campaign.

The 1,000 BRONCOS Campaign is an umbrella organization designed to generate scholarship support for Fayetteville State University athletics. The campaign helps to ensure that FSU's student-athletes enjoy the best possible athletic and collegiate experience. Our organization oversees fund-raising efforts, initiates communication and plans events that seek to connect alumni, parents and friends with Fayetteville State University athletics, with the goal of achieving and sustaining excellence in intercollegiate athletics.

"The scholar-sacks program was a big success last year, as well as a fun, creative way to generate donations," said FSU assistant athletics director of development Michael King. "Our donors were more engaged; the goal is to grow from the success of last season and improve engagement."

The mission of the 1,000 BRONCOS Annual campaign is to strengthen Fayetteville State University's commitment to student-athlete excellence both academically and athletically. Through their 1,000 BRONCOS involvement, volunteers, fans, alumni and former student-athletes collectively seek to provide the scholarship funding that is vital for all 10 sports.

Bronco Scholar-Sack donations are tax-deductible. Pledges of $50 or more per sack will receive two tickets to an exclusive luncheon with the Fayetteville State football coaching staff.
