May 25, 2010 FAYETTEVILLE - Fayetteville State fans will soon have an opportunity to show off their Bronco pride, even though the 2009-10 athletic season is over. The Fayetteville SwampDogs, a member of the Coastal Plain League, will host "Fayetteville State Night" at J.P. Riddle Stadium on June 4 at 7 p.m. against the Morehead City Marlins. FSU fans who wear Broncos gear or show a FSU ID will receive $1 off their ticket. Box Seats are $8, general admission $6 and special group discounts are available. "Our Fayetteville State Night on June 4 is an opportunity to celebrate the University," said Paul Friedlander, an intern with the SwampDogs who is coordinating the event. "We want to see a lot of blue and white and try to have FSU's fans all around the stadium. The main goal is to spread Bronco pride in Fayetteville and see how many FSU fans we can get at "The Swamp." The SwampDogs, who are in their 10th anniversary season, open their 2010 campaign on Wednesday against the Florence RedWolves. For more information, visit www.goswampdogs.com. |
